post-ink (Louise Barner)
Images might as well have come before language. Yet in my time, images just recently entered my narrative the conscious way. My pictures make a storyline that goes beyond the spoken word. It might only make sense to myself, then again, images are powerful storytellers. Completing a narrative that is my own but as I imagine it being someone else's. It is giving someone else a voice after their story is told. Ink on ink? So many lines can emerge and reemerge from a single shot and never cover the entire picture. Post-ink? No matter how you tell a story none of its forms can be solely exhaustive. I guess that is the common feature of arts.
