Always a popular thread at the other place.
I'll kick this one off.
It was my birthday the other day. I was expecting a bottle of my favourite perfume (I've been dropping hints I was running low) and woke up to a Land Rover Freelander on the drive. I've always wanted a 4x4 and now I've finally got one courtesy of my Mum and my Significant Other Half.
Okay, so it's not a new one and it's not an all singing, all dancing model, but that doesn't bother me. It's a freaking Freelander, dudes!

Downside - I'll have to fund my own bottle of smellies. Oh hold on - there's Mother's Day coming up...

@144 Phil, I think you're doing amazingly well to get so many downloads on a relatively small number of images. It just shows how very high their quality is. I always enjoy seeing your latest shots, even though I don't always comment on them. Many of my images are of rather specialised subjects, so unlikely to get high numbers of downloads, but I make up for it by providing lots of subjects.

@152 Oh yes, 20.000 are quite a large crowd. Imagine all of us at once in an olympic stadium, and there will be many more to come :)

It's my birthday tomorrow, and I will be very old, so speak to me in whispers. I am glad to be alive, and I am off to visit with my son, his partner and his daughters, because my boss let me take the day off. Wasn't that nice? So I have lots to celebrate.

I had a great trip. Lots of presents from my granddaughters, and they were as proud as punch of all the little things they made. I had a good long chat with my son as well, and it was wonderful just to catch up. It's just not the same on the phone. I've only been back about an hour, unpacked (don't you hate that?) and I'm cooking a meal. I think I'll drop into bed tonight very rapidly!

I had a great day yesterday. I went to the island Terschelling with a group of friends. The weather was better than expected I even got a mild sunburn. I made lots of pictures and put some of them on Facebook. The Waddeneilanden are so different from the rest of Nederland that it's like you are on holiday even if it is for one day.
It was a long day, I left home at 7.00 and got back at 22.30. I am still tired.
