for a lifetime in German sweet shops, the variety of things offered here is purely enormous. No wonder there are quite a lot of fat kids running around over here. I'm lucky to have colleagues who bring along Haribo sweets from time to time to our meetings, they are truly delicious...
Aldi has brought a whole range of items here that we wouldn't have had otherwise. All bad! LOL They sell these things called "Mint Thins", which are one of the few chocolates I can eat, as they have no milk, but they taste like normal dark chocolate. These are also made in Germany. There are other milk-free chocs, but they taste awful. These are after-dinner mints, and very more-ish. There are some biscuits, etc, that are not to my palate, but Haribo and Choceur reign. I have a vegan friend who is German, but whenever he returns to Germany, he fills up on German cheeses, and has no conscience. He says it's rare, and there are so many beautiful cheeses that you can't get here. I wish I could eat cheese again, but I am too allergic. The consequences aren't worth the pleasure.
so I am getting more obese from all your German sweets and
fats
in the chocolate
well, what can we do if these sweets are so tasty - they are a
fast
way to make us happy, that's for sure. I can tell you that I prefer milk chocolate and even white chocolate, but my taste is certainly strange. I like salted caramel chocolate, for instance, which is what Christa and I eat currently. I bought a bar of that chocolate which is produced in suisse, and it is quite a delicacy.
Not strange at all - it sounds delicious!
salt
would taste wonderful with caramel
The taste is quite similar to that of the milky way bars. What I like very much, too, is sweets made with peanut butter. In the indian cuisine the meals with peanut sauce, called
sate
are a true delicacy, too. You must not even eat these ones sharp to enjoy them very much.
oh, I love sate! I like it a bit hot - only mildly - but I just adore sate sauce with peanuts. I used to live on frozen vegetables in sate sauce. However, now they are finding banned pesticides in most of them - they are practically all imported - and that bothered me so much, I stopped buying them. now this girl
eats
mostly organic and fresh, which is always best
I prefer sate with noodles, though - not rice
Christa makes a
neat
organic sate noodle dish with carrots, too, which is very tasty. You are right, organic ingredients are the best way to avoid pesticides...
we up the
ante
on our risk of disease with everything that we shouldn't eat arriving on our tables -
you can't buy good health
most members of the human species are obviously not able to
note
that everybody has his own responsibility for living as healthy as possible. I can't understand why so many people smoke and if you ask them they tell you that it doesn't taste very well and that chances are quite good to loose some years of your life because of this bad habit...
just one
toke
and you begin to damage your health in a slow and insidious way
I'm afraid most smokers start as kids already and just dont
take
those dangers serious enough. it's more important to be cool...
I'm afraid I think alcohol is worse. It makes me sick at heart when adults let their children have a sip of alcohol. It can create a life-long addiction, cause brain damage, and endless social problems or even death. I've seen so many lives damaged by it that I hate it. I may as well go fly a
kite
as talk about it, though, as it's everyone's favourite :o)
or sit near the oven and
knit
something nice to calm down your nerves. You're right, alcohol is quite a serious drug and nothing harmless at all. I was never really drunk, I have never lost control to alcohol, but I can imagine how easy it must be to do so...
knit? I'd rather

knot? I didn't
know
that you practise yoga. You are a lady of great talents.
I thought you already

I have to
warn
you - those paparazzo can become a nuisance. Tell them to bring you a nice organic sate to keep them busy

it's a bit
grim
of you to think I'll be run over...
I had my fair chance to
trim
views on who has to be run over - migraine has struck me down again over the last days. Truly not the best of hobbys you can imagine...
Oh, Michael, I'm so sorry. I wish you could find a cure for it. It must be very hard to cope with.
maybe a

to a health farm for a week or so would help
