It seems to be getting worse:

I understand there's a Facebook and Twitter campaign underway to boycott Braehead shopping centre if they don't back down on this stupidity.

That's a joke. Seriously, we are ruled by fascists in most western countries.

4. lennie12 October 2011, 19:08 GMT +02:00

I'll happily boycott them.

Just as I've already done for almost 12 years ;-)

@Dez Looks to me like some people in your country have strange ideas about privacy too: http://www.news.com.au/money/creepy-retail-technology-tracks-shoppers/story-e6frfmci-1226166413071

:-(

It's likely to be Chermside shopping centre or Garden City. Note that it is already happening in the UK and USA. We are being tracked purchasing any products with those metallic stickers on them. Here, Pantene has them all over their bottles. I stopped purchasing it because of that. But many items have the trackers concealed, so it's hard to win.

I read one fellow involved with all this stuff saying they had more information than they had a use for, and they would never be able to use the statistical info they already have, because of the sheer volume. I then ask, who is it that keeps doing this in the name of "sales", if the sellers don't want any more? It has nothing to do with selling. It has everything to do with the facism that is now overt in western societies. The next Nazis will leave no survivors, as everyone can be traced and tracked, and we blindly allow it all in the name of business. The "reasons" for all this are cover stories, also blindly accepted by marketing.

Which is why, whenever I go shopping, I always use cash rather than my debit card. What bothers me is that I have a microchip spy in my wheelie bin (for domestic rubbish). FFS why? Did I say have? I meant did...

Having this image on your camera might get you out of a situation where someone illegally demands that you delete a photograph. .When Asked to Delete Photos, Just Have This Image Handy.

I get tired of being stopped for using my vintage Leica Gewehr. http://screencast.com/t/YoqH037OVb0u

I don't see what their problem is. :)

ACLU Sues L.A. Sheriff’s Department for Harassing Photographers

The ACLU of Southern California has filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and several of its deputies, claiming that they unlawfully harassed, detained, and searched photographers simply because they were taking pictures. The suit asks the court to instruct the Sheriff’s Department to stop detaining citizens on the basis of photography, and also seeks damages

Gestapos are alive and well. I would never dream of travelling to the US again. Not that my tourist dollar is any loss. Institutionalised madness.
