minimum image size

In general rules says that the minimum lengh of the shorter image size is 800 pixels. Well, there are a lot of photos accepted with 480, 600 or 700 pixels. Have the rules changed? Just asking...

Images uploaded with the import tool were not restricted by the 800 pixel size limit. Those are the ones you are seeing.

@2 Did they not have to be approved individually though? If so they should have been rejected, n'est pas?

They were individually approved. The minimum size limitations for the older photos were too constricting and too many classic photos would have been rejected. We didn't want to cause a commotion by rejecting imported photos for that reason.

The restriction of 800 pixels on the short side applies to the new uploads.

The subject has been in the forums previously. I'll see if I can look through and find references to the minimum size restrictions.
