The graphics competition was hotly contested. And we have a tie!
Tinneketin had 7 votes for Easter Chicken:

Now I know some will say because I counted the votes that I cheated, but you can count them yourselves. In the photography competition:
xymonau had 5 votes for Easter Prayer:

Thank you.
Had a wet day out in leeds...
Which was rather nice.
Yeah, it beats all that hot sunshine we never get to see...
Happy birthday, Dan. :0)
Good work all!
I had no time to prepare anything for this contest but I look forward to the next one:) Today I finally import my gallery from SXC :)
@ 28 The quality of your illustrations is a welcome addition to the RGB database, Robert. I'm so pleased you have made a deeper commitment. :D
Robert, it's wonderful to see all your images here. You have such high quality pics, and that's exactly what we need.
The next challenge will be a little different. We'll discuss the details after Easter.
Robert I'm also glad to see your images here, they are really good ! ;o)
Thanks all :)
I hope that this site will soon be the best and the biggest free stock online :)
I think we're already the best. We're working on the biggest! LOL
Is there another competition in the pipeline?
Just wondering...
There was to be, but a move to another town, new job, and a few other things have set me back from starting it. I am seriously mentally tired right now, and on-call 24/7. However, I will think about what we can do as a small comp.
Just wondered if we might expect a competition soon? We have a lot more members now who might like to try their hand at one.
Christmas as subject perhaps?
I will try to get something organised as soon as possible. I'm sorry I haven't done more yet, but I had a good excuse. Well, a Christmas one would probably be timely, and people are always looking for good Christmas images. Do you want to vote openly or secretly?
I'd prefer open voting. What have folk got to hide? I think that transparency in our dealings is by far the better option and will encourage communication.
I agree with Kevin, open voting.
Not enough time for Columbus day. Veterans Day is too hard to do. People are already preparing for Christmas.
Christmas is popular and the images are good for years after.
Dez is famous for her golden swirled hoop tree which won her top honors a couple years ago. http://www.rgbstock.com/photo/2dyVQYr/Abstract+Christmas+Tree
I intended to have the bones of a competition done today, but I have had too much to do, sorry. It's going to happen. Those who have written, my email account is playing up, and I may not be able to respond straight away.
I like open voting too...
I would prefer to have a slightly less restrictive/obvious theme to competition - such as the 'something missing' one from elsewhere.
Maybe themes such as "balance", "danger", "body" or "future" could be used. Any suggestions?
Or, if we are to use the competition to pull in loads more stock images to the site, we might as well just have the top 3 categories searched for - 'background', 'people' & 'business'? Perhaps a winner in each category...
Thoughts???
Okay, I have written the blurb for our xmas comp, but I have not finished the comp we will have prior to that! I'll announce it next week. It may not be popular, but I think it might be fun. :)
