Up to date news on what our developers are working on and where they are at.

98. mzacha23 April 2010, 15:41 GMT +02:00

This is what I understand. But I look at the keywords used recently (last column) and compare it with the images downloaded...

F.E. somebody entered "pizza" and no pizza downloads can be seen.

99. Ayla8724 April 2010, 10:02 GMT +02:00

Ah yes, I got your point, Michal. Probably it should have been tuna pizza and only salami pizza could be found ;)

Maybe when we have even more photos and even more users it may match better between what is searched for and what is actually downloaded. But I can also understand that many people are just curious. F.E. I often search for photos to get inspirations for keywords and not to download them.

And the most popular photo has over 100 downloads. Congratulations!

An other tiny site development. It is possible to click on the page number of a search-result- or gallery page. Then a small popup appears where you can jump to an other page number. See for instance this page:

http://www.rgbstock.com/images/tree

click on the blue 'page 1' text and see what happens.

102. dlritter27 April 2010, 1:23 GMT +02:00

Hey Jay,

The page number trick works in Firefox and Chrome but nothing happens when I click on the blue number text in Safari.

Pretty cool Jay!

Works in MSN Explorer.

104. xymonau27 April 2010, 2:36 GMT +02:00

Thank you, Jay. But how will people know it's there if they don't read this? Downloaders might miss it.

105. jonfletch27 April 2010, 11:36 GMT +02:00

Hi Jay, I agree with Dez, I didn't read your instructions properly and I couldn't work out where to get the pop-up.

106. saavem27 April 2010, 13:09 GMT +02:00

A bit difficult to find your development!

107. mzacha27 April 2010, 15:16 GMT +02:00

Works in Safari 3.0. But where is shown how many pages of results we have? The only way is to click "last" and check it by yourself?

108. jazza27 April 2010, 15:31 GMT +02:00

@102 I cant test on a mac. Safari for Windows works fine. Do you get a javascript error, Dave?

--

Maybe I will add a small arrow to indicate there is an extra popup

109. Ayla8727 April 2010, 16:34 GMT +02:00

On Firefox (I have tried 2 Versions for windows and for linux) the popup doesn't show up.

Michael

110. crisderaud27 April 2010, 18:13 GMT +02:00

@107 The result numbers for the search is in really small letters at the very bottom of the page.

It would be nice to have those same results at the top so you know how many pages there are to choose from.

111. fishmonk27 April 2010, 21:16 GMT +02:00

Works on my iMac (leopard/safari)
& i like it a lot!
Dez is right (@104) it needs a little pointer

112. jazza27 April 2010, 22:28 GMT +02:00

Popup not showing up could be a cache issue.

113. dlritter27 April 2010, 23:12 GMT +02:00

No javascript error on Safari v4.0.5 for Mac. Nothing happens when the text is clicked, but I do get a little "hand" pointer that indicates that the text should "do" something when clicked.

114. Ayla8728 April 2010, 6:30 GMT +02:00

Jay, yes, it may be a cache issue. Today the popup popped up in Firefox. It works perfectly fine on search result pages, but it doesn't work to jump forward to a specific page in user galleries. There it leads to empty pages only. Strange. :)

Michael

115. mzacha28 April 2010, 10:04 GMT +02:00

And I see the number of pages/pictures found. Thanks!

116. jazza28 April 2010, 21:30 GMT +02:00

@113: I start to dislike Safari ;) My new Safari 4.05 on windows acts strange too. Different problems but strange.

@114: you discovered a bug. A stupid bug. The script strips of the numbers of your username, so you end up like 'ayla'. I will fix it.

117. fishmonk28 April 2010, 21:43 GMT +02:00

As I say, mine is fine [Version 4.0.5 (5531.22.7)],
so I'm not sure what is going on with Daves... (?)

118. jazza28 April 2010, 22:01 GMT +02:00

Dave has a Mac.
In my Safari version (4.05) the Google ads jump to the top of the page after clicking on the page numbers. At least on my work it does. Here at home everything works fine with Safari.

@114: Michael, I fixed the bug. Be sure to delete the browser cache. Could you please test again?

119. crisderaud28 April 2010, 23:49 GMT +02:00

Thanks for the info at the top Jay!

My Windows 7 plus MSN Explorer works just the way you designed it to jump pages. :)

120. dlritter29 April 2010, 10:22 GMT +02:00

The click on the page text trick is now working in Safari 4.0.5 on my Mac.

It is a neat way to jump to different pages but without any sort of indication of the feature a new user will have no idea that this feature even exists.

121. mzacha29 April 2010, 10:39 GMT +02:00

By ty way:

recent "mass" downloads shows that the list of recenty downloaded images is too short. Sometimes it changes completely in 10 minutes, making me unable to check which files of mine were downloaded. :P.
